CARA Offers a free AWS (American Welding Society) Welding Certification
The course is designed to teach the most common GMAW (Gas metal Arc Welding) welding processes. Students will be introduced to safety, measurement, MIG (Metal Inert Gas) machine operation and maintenance, metal properties, and MIG welding techniques. Students will gain basic knowledge and skills needed to earn the AWS 1G & 2G flat position certification. The course provides students with the foundational knowledge of the basics of welding.

• Reading and understanding blueprints
• Measuring and cutting materials
• Sourcing materials
• Welding to join materials
• Checking finished work to confirm that it is within the blueprinted tolerances.
